Redang - I'm missing YOU

yes. this entry shall be about Redang!
yes im finally having more energy to be able to write normally on the blog.

travelling to redang, and returning home was the longest journey ever.
im so sure im nv going to be taking a coach to redang again...
if i have to go redang, we shall try train or plane next time.
cuz..... it's really tiring! no matter how much we slp on the coach and ferry, it does not rid us of the lethargy. brrrr. =p

but it was indeed refreshing to be seeing the clear blue sea when u finally stepped out of the ferry that was so enclosed for the 1 hour ride. =) BReathE! even the air smells better. =D

the weird thing about redang beach resort - in fact perhaps ALL resorts in redang - was that everyone follows the same itenary! well.... it kinda sucks when we still had to follow schedules.. even though we're on a holiday trip! don't we do that all the time back here in spore..... right... haha. but never mind. it was only the meal times and snorkeling timings that we had to follow.
even till now, i still think that the food served wasnt worth the money. we had lousy buffet lunch and dinners... that will not have enough for us if we reach the canteen late.. and we had to clear our own plates after meal.

it so felt like mensa canteen! oh well. it was fortunate that we're all KIND singaporeans... hehe. so of course, we rushed for meal hours, and cleared plates as requested. =)
it's quite funny how we just knew each other for sometime, and we're able to talk and play together HAHA.

and YAY. 1st snorkeling trip started shortly after we reached the island. i was so excited!
but well. the handling of the snorkeling mask was rather disgusting. WE had to SPIT saliva onto the mask, and smear it with our fingers and rinse it with sea water... so that there will not be foam when we're out in the sea.... YUCKS! but we did it anyway. =)

there were a total of 3 snorkeling trips scheduled under our package. the marine park snorkeling session on day 2 morning was the most exciting!
there were... just tonnes of fishes! it was overwheming... all swimming near the surface of the sea. i was screaming like a whimp when i first stepped onto the seabed. HAHA. GAY right, i'm gross because im there to snorkel, and i was scared of fishes! hahaha... =p

Rights. the most memorable snorkeling session was none of the 3 sessions... but the last informal one. well it was the 3rd snorkeling trip of the day. we're all damn tired. but since it was offered by our dear new friend known during the snorkeling trips, we gladly accepted it.

HAHA> JOE. funniest malaysian guy ever. he spent his time pushing us down into the sea while we're in marine park and letting us touch different corals and feeding fishes, getting fish therapy.

last trip was to swim all the way out into the middle of the sea... the rocks were so slippery to even walk on when we're moving out into the sea... and.. there were TONNES OF sea cucumbers!

baby sharks were nowhere to be seen. and it started to rain.. so we had no choice but to head back to shore. it was the most tiring trip ever. because swimming with the big waves was not fun at all. peck and zw were glued to the life buoy as they're damn shagged already, with joe pulling them along.

wa... DAMN tiring~ thank god ivan was a life saver so he was able to push janelle and i back to shore. but the low tides during the rain was terrible.. because we were barely less than 30 cm to the seabed on our way back.

it was... DISGUSTING. being so near to all the sea cucumbers. i swear i would have died screaming before i drown if i have touched any of them!!!! brrrr. it gives me nightmares. we din dare to move at all and just waited for the waves to push us back.. because we were told not to touch any corals as some might just be poisonous. see.. it was that scary!!!

HAHA. but well. it was a great experience. =)

well. the 2 nights were spent on eating, and eating. and janelle and i sang at this pub. that was something gross that i wouldnt dare to do back herein singapore.. HAHA.

we sang kbox over there to kill time. and of course, it ended up with both nights of drinking. but i promise i did not drink too much! HAHA. =)

i bought a bag at one of the souveneir shops! =) well. i nearly wore someone else's slippers home. haha.. because we werent allowed to wear slippers into the shops! so all slippers were left stranded everywhere at the door. =p

woke up at 5am in the morning to make it for the 630am ferry. and we thought we wont be able to see any sunrise for the morning since we're all the way in west msia! =) but thank god for the good weather, and we took shots that i thought were magnificent sights. =)
it totally looked like, i found the source of light and direction. it's gay i know. but it totally felt like that! =)

well. when we headed back to the jetty to wait for our coach, we went to a Melayu market for prata. i always thought English is good for everywhere in msia. but apparently not where we were. HAHA. communication was a prob, thank god it was just about food. =p

and the bus trip back was terrible. longest ride everrr... the 10 hrs totally felt like 20 hrs of ride. especially until the point where i couldnt fall aslp anymore.. and the water was dripping all over me from the air con!!!! brrr. heavy rain wasnt a nice thing at all. =( haha. we finally reached golden mile at 10. BRRR. thank god.

HOME SWEET HOME! i nv loved my bed so much before. =)

and now.. im still missing redang. and yes, it was a blessing as H1N1 just appeared in msia a few days ago. i was so worried while crossing the customs to be informed that we need to be quarantined for 7 days. it would be gross if thats the case. =)
