HK Updates!

Alrights. Photo uploading time! =)
I have finally sorted out the photos taken in HK trip.
well... not alot this time. i thought i'd have taken more.
but got totally sian-ed at the last day.
so photos only lasted till 4th day of trip! haha. =)

We went to Macau on the sunday night, at 1.30am. totally tired due to the stupid Jetstar plane.

First experience with budget airline, indeed you pay for what you get. wa lao, my neck nearly broke at the end of the 4hr flight. i couldnt imagine sitting in there any longer! and the cab drivers there... sped like nobody's business. going at 90km/hr within small lanes!

We had supper at a small shop near to the hotel. that was at 2.30am in the morning!
ANd gross, i ate pig fallopians tube! only knew it after we went back to hotel.

bad prank. but it was nice! =) ahhaha.

Macau was nothing but Casinos. So it was rather boring. but the peaceful sights and little crowd really made everything more relaxing. I thought, Phew. ran away from spore for a moment. =)

and majority of population there are old folks. that made everything even more peaceful. HAHA.

we had the first dim sum breakfast at macau, BAD experience. supposedly to have a long history back then.. yet the restaurant's food was like crap. We moved to HK via ferry that night, and dragged our luggages up the MRT staircases at Tsim Sha Tsui station.

Thanks to my bro and sis who refused to take cab for that short distance. Poor parents.

I was a poor chap, so all i could do was to shut up and move on. grrr!

Monday night was spent in Citadines Apartments. Great hotel with orange and white concept.

it was meant for businessmen who stay for long period of time.

So it's definitely cosy and comfortable for stay.

just that... the stupid water shower temp couldnt be controlled.

sometimes it's damn cold, sometimes it's hot that it can burn! had that for the next 3 nights.!

And YAY! Victoria Peak was next on itinerary for Day 2 (Tue) morning.

the 45degree tram was quite interesting. i was.. rather scared. HAHA.

View at the peak was kinda magnificent. though i think i'll nv want to live in HK. =)

because in the midst of these buildings, they are placed so close together that sunlight can barely come in.

we walked on streets that were rather dim and dark at like 12pm?

the HDB flats for average living ppl were like tall and messy. Eeeks.

i think i'm average u see.. so i would prefer paying taxes here in spore. HAHA.

After camwhoring at the peak, we headed to the wax museum.

I saw Jay Chou, Brad Pitt, and even Hitler! HAHAHa.

But we only took photos with those that looked really like the real ppl. =)

Not that i want to bitch.. but my sis's mum was taking WAY TOO LONG.

she took pictures with EVERY SINGLE WAX FIGURE.

i wondered if she even knew some of them!

my parents and i waited at the coffee place after the tour for nearly half hour plus..

not to mention the amount of time we took to wait for her while walking inside.

SIGH. she was the major turn-off during the trip!

And whats more - i seriously didnt understand.

if we wanted to go budget - then don't bring the old folks!

my bro and sis made us walk.... super long distances and my parents weren't used to it.

so what happened was - they're so tired that they fell aslp at Pacific coffee cafe while waiting for the mother.

poor thing man..

anyways, other than the walking, everything else wasnt too bad. =)

After Victoria Peak, we went to Lamma Island... just to eat seafood dinner!

that took us 1 hour odd to walk to the ferry port.

that was where i was damn pissed. WHy walk so far just for seafood?

I believe my parents wouldnt mind saving their leg strengths for some streetside stall in HK street.

But yet again, it was a peaceful and quiet island.

Good for breathing fresh air.

Oh well...... haha.

At night, we went to watch the nightlights near the ferry port.

It's one of the Guiness world record lightings where the buildings will light up according to the music played.

Er. i totally forgot the name of it. nvm. not impt! haha.

Nice! but wasnt fantastic. HAHA

and my parents thought that was a waste of time, but good time to rest their legs. haha.

Then, temple street was next. Basa Malam, din buy anything.

Wed was Dim sum for breakfast again.

this time - it was YUMMY. =)

Now i can say HK's dim sum is definitely better than that of Spore.

though i still prefer spore's char siew pao. haha. =)

Afternoon heading over to HK island, we're at Kowloon.

I saw a dog park just for dogs to stroll and run about!

it'll be good if spore has more of such things. =)

HK island is crowded.

looked a little different from Kowloon.

though the number of people did not decrease, it was gross.

we shopped a little, ate wanton mee.

and went back to Kowloon. Boring!

Night-time was crazy shopping at Espirit FOS.

SIs, Bro and her mum bought tonnes of stuff.

I was on budget, so only bought like 2 tops - but it was enough. =)

Mum couldnt find much stuff that she liked. Oh well.

that took us 2.5hours in that FOS!

Dad was busy slping back in the hotel. AHAH.

Then was Dessert at this Place called TANG CHAO.

it was the best beancurd i've eaten so far! =)

YUMMY. i wish i could have more. =)

Next was Ladies Street.

it was a letdown as it started raining not long after we started walking..

i think i only stepped into the street for like 100m? damn it!

and we had to go... sigh. that will be the place i'll go first if i ever go HK next time.

GOOD BUYS LEH. SOB.

BUt we ate smelly beancurd! haha it was damn nice! but smelly lah.

and i loved the curry fishball. though i hate fishball on a daily basis. HAHA. =p

And my parents were disgusted by the stallholder who was busy digging his teeth

while talking and selling us the food. HAHA. check out bangkok man, it's worse.

Day 4 was at Novotel Citygates Hotel.

HOtel was posh looking, and bed was finally comfortable enough to sleep well in. =)

We went to take the crystal cable car!

wa lao.. i was damn scared when we first boarded... because the floor of the cabin is just glass.

we could see whatveer thats right below!

i screamed for help - my sis recorded that in her phone, i'm praying it nv goes on fb.

but got used to it after awhile.

oh man - it was DAMN COLD CAN.

Temp for the first 3 days were like 22 - 25 degree.

and day 4 i think it dropped all the way till 16 - 17 degrees!

and we din realise, so did not bring a jacket. so i was almost dying. haha.

popcorn at the other side of the mountains was the nicest thing.

we bought 2 packets and munched on it the whole time when we're there.

sis's mum climbed up the don't know how many storeys high to pray to her buddha.

we sat at the foot of the staircase and watched. and camwhored. HAHA.

went to a temple. ate the not so nice vegetarian food. and we're done!

the rest of the day and last day was spent at the huge shopping center at novotel.

as usual - i forgot the name, thats what happens when i'm not the one planning for the trip. =p

all the FOS for different brands were ALL there.

i splurged on shoes, bought 3 pairs in total. oh man. a

and a little on clothes as well.

was back in singapore at 12mn on friday night.

THANK GOD IT WAS FRI AND WE'RE BACK!

this was perhaps the first time i so wanted to come back to town.

cuz sis's mum was being the biggest nuisance! - my parents shared the same sentiments.

HAHA.

Ok. bro and sis shall nv read my blog. BLEAH.

Alrights thats all.

now i wish i can go somewhere else next year.
