i did not die in an air crash
or get knocked down by cars in bangkok, well. Nearly. HAHA.
went there for 4 days 3 nights.
well. it was more like 4 nights 3 days in fact.
because we reached bangkok airport at 7pm
My cramps were just.. TERRIBLE.
i had to take serious painkillers to kill the pain.
panadol was no longer under that category.
not that they're not serious enough..
just not potent enough! HAHA.
i was shocked. to see a DOUBLE BED instead of single beds.
oh well, that was exactly what i requested for.
too bad, hotel only had 8 storeys, they couldnt accomodate to my request.
thats the problem with online booking.
because you never know whether your requests are processed until the day of check-in.
it was.. a disaster seeing the double bed in front of me
and with my friends laughing hard at the other corner.
yes, how was i supposed to explain to my kind bf who let me come on this trip with 3 big guys?
as if that wasn't bad enough.
actually, i seriously din think travelling with 3 guys when you're attached is a big thing.
but everyone i told, told me that it's a big thing.
oh well! HAHA.
oh well. the night went alright. my cramps were killed by the painkillers for the night.plane ride was fun. though boring, late afternoon naps were like necessary.
i think it's still a tiring thing to be travelling after rushing finish all the work before we can enjoy.
when im more relaxed, i felt damn tired. lala.
dinner was at SIAM paragon.
we found our way there.
i love walking on the streets. it's so much better than being on a car.
because it's so much closer to their daily lives, watching all the stalls, night lightings.. etc.
called bf to tel lhim about the stupid bed, and nicely resolved.
well, no choice what. HAHA.
only solution was to stuff pillows in the middle of the big bed. because i have a queen sized bed all to myself at home, i tend to move around. HAHAHA. lala.
next day was definitely rejuvenated.i think my excited brain cells kept me from slping.
woke up at 6.30am bangkok timing. 2 hours before waking up time.
not because i wanted to, i mixed up the time. HAHA, set wrong alarm.
showered, and couldnt get back to slp.
it was.. ANNOYING. great start to my holiday. haha.
Free breakfast at hotel was cool. the lightings and display were really comfortable.
it's really good enough for a mere 3 stars hotel.
just that breakfast for the next 3 days were the SAME.
my favorite turned out to be coco crunch with milk. lala. =)
got cheated by some kuku thai guy.
who told us chatuchak market was not opened for that morning due to some festival.
we were led to thai center to check out jewelleries.
retarded. that was seriously a good conning experience.
i thought i was stupid, i din know my friends were too.
WELL. or should i say they just cannot be bothered?
i booked hotel, told to book ticket, planned itinerary, planned the routes. what else?! GRR.
still went to chatuchak in later morning.
but that chap destroyed our mrt taking plan.
spent 2 hours moving around clothes section at chatuchak market.
it was like.. HUGE. sadly, items sold were almost the same!
got bored and was damn hot. so we left.
went back for a shower, then went to MBK.
MRT there was exactly like SPore, just without EZlink. HAHA. i'm proud of myself. =)
MBK. crowded as usual. bought jeans, clothes, and bag. As usual, i bought the most things.haha. we were like hungry ghosts. had lunch, small portions seemed to be the trend for thai food.
then went to buy donuts of weird names, and aunty at counter was seriously trying hard to let us understand thai language. because she kept repeating herself... knowing that we're not understanding here. WEIRD! hHAHA. but funny!
Chinatown was final destination for the night. SHarks Fin, Bird Nest!
it's weird that my friends wanted Oyster egg in Bangkok. Sambal Kangkong too.
the greatest letdown was the heavy rain that came thereafter.
it flooded the roads due to poor irrigation system. we skipped our stalls hunting at roadsides.
took about half an hour hunting for a cab home instead!
I'm loving Spore's traffic system.
it was a scary sight seeing vehicles zooming past pedestrian paths....
and green man. HAHA WTH!
i nearly got knocked down by a bus! damn crappy. lala.
anyway our hotel was so ULU. ALL the cab drivers did not know how to go.
we had to direct them everytime when it's nearer. the only drawback i guess.
Day 3!Exciting morning to go.
=) We went to the Grand Palace, and the Emerald Buddha Temple.
A place nearby was having some festival and we were surrounded by people.
Markers were on sales for them to write on the statues, perhaps well wishes.
well all these were guessed because we couldnt find anyone to explain! haha.
Grand Palace was magnificent to some extent.
just that, it's DAMN crowded.
i loved the structures for being really colourful. =)
WEnt back for shower and headed straight to Pratunam market.
that was where my shopping spree officially begun! haha.
then was Platinum SHopping Center.
paradise for girls!
iw as just rather stunned that the shops ALL started closing promptly at 7pm.
urghhh. how disappointing!
so there we went, buying durians, pomelos, mango and corn at the roadsides.
smuggled them into the hotel and had our big feast.
grrrr one of the durians was SPOILt, ZGRoss!!! haha. =)
Last day in Bangkok.I did the most shopping that day. within the 2 hours
i finished spending my money! haah.
bought more than 8 items within that 2 hours of shopping.
i think im just grreat sometimes. HAHA.
Foot massage was next up right after checking out.
not too bad for my tired feet after walking for the past few days. =)
chilled at the cafe at hotel.
and then we cabbed to the airport! =)
wasting time at airport seriously sucked.
i was dying to go home.
it's weird that i really wanted to be home u know.
guess shopping trip was seriously tiring. lala!
had fun. laughing, walking, shopping, exploring.
and life sucks returning back to work.
aha. because i seriously cannot concentrate.
energy level is still low after not slping.
but yes, at least my mental mind is prepared for more shits to come.
Sept and Oct.
busy month.
many workshops
many deliveries
many training courses
ASC camp.
NOw week Zero is under one of my appraisal goals.
to hit 75 percent attendance and satisfaction rate.
so theres no way i can back out from this anymore.
tkb is a smart chap right.
it's a do or break thing now.
ARGH. just sucks!
this idiotic batch better buck up.
if not i'll just die leaving my fate to them! HAAH.
lovely,
time to go.
bye!
