It's called the nirwana beach club. well, it looked like a chalet to me. haha. we couldnt expect much for a room thats $90/night complementary with 2 free morning breakfast at their restaurant! haha. it wasn't that bad la, everything in there was comfy enough, just that i was appalled by the fact that they din freaking have a hot water thermal flask?! haha. we even prepared cup noodles! not even a hot water dispenser anywhere near. haha. so now the cup noodles ended up in jeff's house. haha. =) we're served from nice pineapple-like drink the moment we arrived. yummy. i was like damn thirsty. =) 
The first thing we went to right after we settled down was the beach that was just somewhere in front of the lobby. =) the weather on the first day was GREAT. look at the waves! i was like so excited! wanted to try out snorkeling, but the person said it isnt a good time to do it as the waves are strong, the sand will be kicked up and we wouldnt be able to see a thing. gosh. i was so disappointed. so we decided to play some simply body boarding on the 2nd day instead. well that was our plan. haha. In the end, we spent our afternoon going for a mangrove tour. =) hehe. i thought it was going to be rather boring initially. we sat in an small open boat and zoom, there we went! so fast and cooling. when the boat was moving, we couldnt hear anything the guide told us, except for the sound of the motor engine. hahas. it was pretty of an eye-opener. from the big river, we slowly went into a small river in the mangrove forest. wow. poisonous snakes were slpping on the branches just on top of us. and a super big lizard that emerged from beneath the waters. well, i must admit that i did not fancy reptiles or the wild at all. haha. but the trip on boat was damn cool. =) at the end of the tour, they dropped us at this place where fishermen were. like wow, i saw the kinda toliets that when u shit, it goes right into somewhere we don't know. probably the waters. i was dying to pee, but i skipped that chance as i coudlnt bring myself to pee in such a toilet. not because of anything but the insects surrounding. HAHA. gross! when the tour ended, the driver that took us to the mangrove disappeared!! and we're like stuck at the same place for like almost half an hr. for a moment jeff and i thought we became lost tourists. bleah. dinner was alright at some spice restaurant at another resort. notvery nice. and we ate like the hardest icecream ever for dessert. haha.
well. you wont believe wad time we slept on the first night. like 830pm spore time? HAHA. it felt weird that the sky got totally dark by 6.30pm at bintan. haha! anyways, we're dillegent enough to wake up early for the buffet breakfast! gosh. the breakfast was good! =) hehe. but it was really disappointing that the weather wasnt good at all on the 2nd day. so we couldnt do any water sports at all. i was like damn SIAN. in the end, there was a change of plans. so we ended up at this place called Pasar Oleh Oleh. well. it's like a marketplace where they sell stuff to tourists. haha. it was like a peaceful town, very colourful as well. the shop attendants were much more friendlier to ppl from spore. at least thats how i felt. HAHA. Did not buy anything much from there. cuz there werent anything thats really really from BINTAN u see. haha. it was nice shopping though. =)
what happened next? when we're sitting on some bench at pasar oleh oleh, some resort guy approached us. he was from the famour angsana resort and invited us for a free tour at the resort! haha. according to him, no obligations. so since we had no plans, we went on for the tour. well, i did not tell my mum about that. cuz if she knew, she probably would have scolded us for that, cuz we just went on a car with a stranger just like that, to somewhere we din even know he was bringing us to. HAHA. =p
Luckily it was real! haha. we sat on their buggy rider and went for a ride. gosh. that resort was posh. haha. so diff from the one we're living in. but hello, the price difference was like almost 500 bucks per night. haha. if only we're that rich. well. their real intention was to ask us to join their membership la. but we're poor. HAHA. so in the end we turned down the offer. nonetheless, we're given a free voucher to stay in one of their resorts in phuket for 3 days 2 nights! haha. i don't mind getting something free like that. =)Afterwhich, we went to the kelong seafood restaurant for dinner. oh gosh!!! it was like romantic! hahaha. =) the best dinner ever. the table was filled with my favorite dishes, i finished up the whole plate of sotong as jeff doesnt take that, while he was busy peeling crab shell. so cute. haha. THEN! there was a link bridge that led us to this pub on the sea! the sight was so pretty. =) and it was just the 2 of us and the bartender. so sweeeet. bad thing was i drank too much for my own good. puked out all sorts of nonsense after i got back to the resort. and fell aslp immediately after that. HAHA. damn gross right.
Had a little hangover the next morning when we went for breakfast at the restaurant again. yawn. haha. after that was the long trip back home. the ferry ride was terrible. so rocky. i nearly died. so did jeff. hahaha. we slept away the afternoon on thurs once we reached home. so tired!
well. though we din do much stuff over at bintan. hehe. but it was a good and peaceful trip. i totally forgot about work. bleah. and just enjoyed my time with jeff. yup. and now he's in army. i miss him badly. though i thought it wont be that bad initally. haha.
